From Small Seeds: The Story of Alkoomi Olive Oil

Every great story starts with a "what if?" For us, that moment came in 1996, when we decided to plant our first olive trees alongside our established vineyards. What began as a small experiment - testing various olive varieties to see what would thrive in our cool Frankland River climate - has grown into something truly special.

After years of trials and learning what works best in our unique terroir, we've focused on two varieties that truly shine in our corner of Western Australia: Correggiola and Manzanillo. Today, our grove of 1,000 trees produces an extra virgin olive oil that captures the pure, clean flavours of our region.

From Tree to Table

Like everything we do at Alkoomi, our olive oil production is hands-on and meticulous. Each bottle is hand-labeled and packaged right here on the property - a small detail that makes a big difference in ensuring the quality we're proud to put our name on.

If you've joined us for a tasting at either our Frankland River winery or The Alkoomi Cellar in Albany, you'll know our olive oil as the welcome taste that starts every experience, served simply with warm bread and sea salt. It's our way of saying hello, and sharing a taste of our farm with every guest.
