2024 | Thank you from Alkoomi
Posted on December 24 2024,
Dear Friends of Alkoomi,
As another year draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on 2024 and share some special moments from our family to yours.First, I'm delighted to share some wonderful family news - Laura and Tim have welcomed little Mabel, a beautiful sister for Daisy. Watching our family grow brings us such joy, and it's a reminder of why we do what we do - creating wines that bring people together and mark life's precious moments.
This year has certainly kept us on our toes! Mother Nature threw us an early curve ball with an unusually warm start to the year, pushing vintage to begin earlier than expected. Despite the challenges, I couldn't be prouder of how our vineyard and winemaking teams responded. Their dedication and expertise shone through, and the wines we've produced this year truly reflect their skill and commitment. Sometimes it's in facing challenges that we create our finest work, and these wines are a testament to that.
One of our biggest achievements this year was opening our new cellar door in Albany. Laura and Rod poured their hearts into this project, working tirelessly to create something special. Thanks to Lyndsey and her fantastic team, it's become more than just a cellar door - it's a place where wine lovers can experience the essence of Alkoomi through thoughtfully curated tastings and experiences. The way our visitors have embraced this new space has been truly heartwarming.
None of these achievements would mean quite as much without you - our loyal supporters who have been part of the Alkoomi journey. Whether you've visited us in Frankland River or Albany, shared our wines with friends and family, or simply followed our story from afar, you're part of what makes Alkoomi special.
As we look forward to 2025, we're excited about what's ahead - new vintages to share, more stories to tell, and more moments to celebrate together. From all of us here at Alkoomi, thank you for being part of our wine family.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful festive season and a happy New Year.
Warmest,
Sandy
